Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the WellBite app and website, operated by Ilsur Gabdulkhakov, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). By using WellBite you agree to them.
The service
WellBite is a nutrition tracking app: it estimates the nutritional content of meals (including from photos you take), tracks your intake against goals you set, and suggests foods and combinations to help you reach a daily protein target. Features may change as the app evolves.
Accounts
WellBite creates an anonymous account automatically — no signup is required. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and lets you use your history on all your devices. You are responsible for your device; note that if you don’t sign in, your history is tied to that device (reinstalls restore from backup, but a brand-new device cannot access history created anonymously on another one).
Subscriptions
- WellBite Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or yearly. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm the purchase. There is no free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account (or Google Play account) when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period for the same price and period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel any time: on iPhone, Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app or your WellBite account does not cancel a subscription.
- Billing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Prices may change; a change applies only to future billing periods, after notice through the store.
- Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies. Restore Purchases in Settings re-links an active subscription to the app, for example after a reinstall.
- Fair use. “Unlimited” AI scans mean unlimited for personal use: Premium includes up to 100 AI meal-photo and nutrition-label scans per day, which resets daily. The free plan includes 3 AI scans in total. Search, barcode scanning and manual logging are not limited.

Nutrition data in WellBite comes in part from:

We adapt values from these tables: they are rounded, and carbohydrate is shown including fibre, as USDA reports it. Some foods use values from national standards (such as GOST) or the median of several manufacturers’ labels.
Values can be incomplete or inaccurate and are provided for information only.
Not medical advice
WellBite provides nutrition estimates for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. AI-generated estimates can be wrong — verify anything that matters. Consult a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes, particularly if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, an eating-disorder history, or take medication (including GLP-1 medications). Do not rely on WellBite for medical decisions.
Your content
Photos you take and data you log remain yours. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service — e.g. transmitting a photo to our AI provider for analysis (that copy is processed and discarded, see the Privacy Policy) and storing your logs and the photos you keep for backup. We claim no other rights to your content.
Acceptable use
Don’t: circumvent subscription or usage limits; reverse-engineer, probe, or disrupt the service; use automated clients or modified builds; submit unlawful content; or resell access. AI analysis is rate-limited per user for abuse prevention; we may suspend access that violates these Terms.
Intellectual property
The app, site, design, and food dataset are our property or our licensors’ and are protected by law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on your devices.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of nutrition estimates, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, health outcomes, or profits, arising from your use of WellBite. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using WellBite and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature survive (IP, disclaimers, liability) survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), where the developer lives, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Taiwan. If you use WellBite as a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away the protection that the mandatory laws of the country where you live give you, including your right to bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on the site with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
